IT Administrator II, Educational Outreach

Description   The Office of Educational Outreach (OEO) at the University of Tennessee at Martin is accepting applications for an IT Administrator II. This position is responsible for all academic, administrative, and student technical requirements at the OEO UT Martin remote sites in Jackson, Selmer, Ripley, Parsons, and Somerville. o The position will travel between the remote sites visiting as needed to take care of technology consulting, design, server administration, network administration, training, printing and imaging needs, and video network needs. o The position will work in conjunction with main campus Information Technology Services policies, procedures, and standards. o The position will be required to maintain a very broad, strong, and up-to-date set of technical knowledge in order to perform the variety of functions required by the remote sites. o The position will work independently, yet consult with the main campus Information Technology Services resources when problems arise that he or she cannot resolve. o This position must be an independent thinker, problem solver, self-directed, flexible, and have the ability to work with a variety of people both inside and outside UT Martin, including local government.     Qualifications   Minimum Qualifications  o Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or a related field and 5 years of relevant experience. Years of experience may be substituted for a degree on a year by year basis. o Ability to think logically and systematically diagnose complex problems o Must be able to work well with others and communicate effectively on complex technical and non-technical level using verbal and written electronic mediums. Ability to analyze complex needs and resources and set priorities with justifications  o Knowledge of networking/distributed computing environment concepts o Advanced knowledge of Windows and Mac OS o Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and its administration o Advanced knowledge concerning computer, printing, and imaging hardware installation and configuration  o Trustworthy, honest, desire to learn, reliable, and responsible o Ability to work independently and set own priorities o Ability to drive 1-2 hours per day and work a flexible schedule   Preferred Qualifications o Experience in network administration, server administration, and technical diagnostics 18000001VK

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
